Syria: Orthodox Armenian Christians hold Christmas mass in Damascus

Orthodox Armenian Christians celebrated an Orthodox Christmas mass at the Armenian Orthodox Church of St. Sarkis in Damascus on Sunday.

"War has stopped, and we returned to our country for the celebrations and to see our people and land," Damascus citizen Odis Jolivian said.

"This year we celebrated in better conditions, [and] in a better setting. We thank our army, we thank our government [who] restored safety and security, so that we were able to celebrate Christmas in such safe conditions," Damascus citizen Sonil Kalijian said.
