Bulgarian Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter

(16 Apr 2017) Orthodox Christians in Bulgaria gathered at churches and monasteries on Saturday night to celebrate the Easter holiday.
At the golden-domed Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the capital, Sofia, the head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Neophyte led the festive midnight Mass, which concluded with a candle-lit procession.
The congregation lit their candles from the "Holy Fire" flown in from Jerusalem earlier that day.
